Geert Bouckaert: Performance management

Within the TopScholars Series, Prof. Dr. Geert Bouckaert, professor of the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium) will hold a special master course on the topic of Performance Management in the Public Sector at Corvinus University of Budapest on 5-6-7th February 2018.

Prof. Dr. Geert Bouckaert, President of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS), professor and former director of the Public Governance Institute of the Catholic University Leuven, Belgium. Prof. Bouckaert is one of the most distinguished scholar and a key researcher of Comparative Public Management as well as Performance Management studies, he (co)authored several ones of the most-cited academic contributions of the field.

He specialises in  performance management in the government, financial management and trust.

His current research focus on:

- Implementation of the policy and management cycle in local governance 

- Administrative and judical trust

- Local benchmarking methods

- Monitoring administrative power

He is a lecturer of:

- Policy design and strategy

- Financial management in the government

- Comparative public management
